Alright, students, now that you know the story very well, let us explore the characters and the settings in the story, yes? YES! :D

In the story, there are six main characters that has made this story very fascinating and they are:

• Lucy Beck: She is young, shy and insecure graduate of secretarial studies. she dissatisfied with her current life and is determined to improve it. She obtains a position with Ross and Bannister's, only to find that the position comes with a chilling secret.
• Ghost of Ms. Bloome: She was the previous employee of Ross and Bannister's. She is unwilling to let go of her position and continues to defend her post, even after her demise.
• Lucy's Mother: A housewife who lives a hard life. She has to support her brother.
• Uncle Bert: Depends on his sister for support. He is also a drunkard.
• Harry Darke: Ross and Bannister's handyman. He is an old man who has been working with the company for years.
• Mr. Ross: The younger partner of the company.

But where exactly did all of this take place in order for the characters to play their part in the story, you ask? THE SETTINGS, of course! :D

There are two main settings that involved in this story and they are none other than:

• Lucy's house: Lucy shares with her mother and her Uncle Bert.
• Ross and Bannister's office: Lucy works as a secretary.

So how do we go about in combining these two literary elements together? you've guessed it right, plotters! THE PLOT! ;) There are five essential parts of plot that you must remember by heart and they are:

• Introduction: The beginning of the story where the characters and the settings are revealed.
• Rising Action: This is where the events of the story become complicated and the conflict in the story is revealed.
• Climax: The highest point of interest and the turning point of the story.
• Falling Action: The events and complications begin to resolve themselves.
• Resolution: The final outcome or untangling of events in the story.

Now, that wasn't so hard, was it? :)
Since you all have been very brave in reading this ghost story, for our next class we shall play a fun and interesting game where it involves climbing an awesome mountain. So you mountaineers better get ready with your mountaineering tools because we are going to climb the oh-so-legendary (yet imaginary) Mount Plot! :D
